Empowering women through rowing since 1995
North Suburban Crew (NSC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) rowing club dedicated to empowering women and girls through the sport of rowing in Chicago’s north suburbs since 1995. We celebrate both the competitive and collaborative spirit of women’s athletics while fostering confidence, teamwork, leadership, and lifelong fitness in a supportive environment.
Our Juniors program (grades 7-12) trains athletes in sculling (two oars per person) and sweep rowing (one oar per person). Juniors practice in the morning and compete at local and regional regattas during the spring and fall seasons.
The Masters program offers women morning training and competition in sweep rowing at local, regional, and national events across spring, summer, and fall. At every level, NSC provides opportunities to grow, achieve, and enjoy the benefits of rowing together on and off the water.
